David co-founded Bandwidth, a software company focused on communications, in 1999. Companies like Google, Microsoft, Rover and Zoom use Bandwidth’s APIs to easily embed voice, messaging and 911 access into software and applications. Bandwidth is proud to be headquartered in Raleigh, with offices on NC State’s Centennial campus. The company went public on Nasdaq in late 2017.
David is also the Cofounder, Chairman and former CEO of Republic Wireless. Prior to founding Bandwidth, David served on active duty in the Marine Corps as a Judge Advocate and Headquarters Company Commander. He received a B.A. in Political Science from Oral Roberts University and a J.D. from the University of Notre Dame Law School. He is the co-founder of Durham Cares.
David and his bride have been blessed with six children and one grandchild (and counting!).
